Yay! Alvin's learnt to sit! Sitting for treats is better than circling your feet :)
My cocker (in her eagerness for treats) also bites my finger occasionally. I've tried to teach her to take the treat gently because she's hurting me (by yelping and howling in pain whenever she does it) but it hasn't worked. She's just too excited over food.
So what I do now is either 1. Toss the treat to her and she catches it in the air (Alvin may not be able to do it because of his back legs though) or 2. I drop the treat on the floor and tell her to WAIT. She will then stare at the treat on the floor (salivating) until I give her the ok to eat. It's good training too! :)
